1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup (150 g) packed brown sugar

1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 cups (340 g) semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla.

In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir into wet mixture.

Fold in chocolate chips.

Scoop dough into 1 1/2 tablespoon balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.

Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are golden but centres are soft. Cool, and Taste!
